Worcester Food Rescue : New Opportunities.
An Update From Worcester Food Rescue:
A big thank you to our existing volunteers, who have been getting on with our regular collections.
We have the opportunity for some NEW collections! This will probably rely on recruiting more volunteers, so please sign up if you can help, even if it’s only as a reserve/ holiday cover.
From September onwards ASDA will start donating their surplus food and we have been offered 2 slots for this –
Tuesday and Thursday afternoon / evening, These collections would be anytime between 2pm and 7pm.
Also ALDI will start up donating food again from 5th August – Monday and Wednesday slots between 11am – 12 noon. There might be a possibility for chilled items here too.

With these earlier slots it might enable us to donate to daytime-only charities like Maggs and the Foodbank on a more regular basis.
Fareshare (for ASDA) and Neighbourly (for Aldi) tentatively pencilled us in for these collections, but this is of course dependent on our volunteers.
