Apple Pressing returns for 2023 – 2 dates cancelled!

Submitted by

Transition Worcester are delighted to be able to hold a programme of apple pressing events this autumn. Bring your surplus apples between 11am and 3pm and get them pressed into fresh delicious juice by our team of volunteers. Please remember to bring enough clean, sealable containers in which to take your juice away. As a guide, for every kilo of fruit you may get around 0.75 litres of juice, depending on the variety of apple/pear and how successful the growing season has been. Donations to Transition Worcester on the day very welcome. We plan to hold these sessions as follows:

  • Saturday 2 September 2023 at Worcester Woods Countryside Centre, WR5 2NP.
  • Saturday 16 September 2023 at the Pump House Environment Centre, Gheluvelt Park, WR1 3EZ.
  • Saturday 30 September 2023 at The Lyppard Hub, Warndon Villages, WR4 0DZ.
  • Saturday 7 October 2023 at Worcester Cathedral, WR1 2LA.
  • Saturday 21 October 2023 at Powers Farm, Ombersley, WR9 0HL.
  • Saturday 28 October 2023 at The Pump House Environment Centre, Gheluvelt Park, WR1 3EZ.
  • Saturday 18 November 2023 at Worcester Woods Countryside Centre, WR5 2NP.

Please note the events at the Pump House Environment Centre have been cancelled due to falling masonry from the building.
We are currently trying to find an alternative venue for the event on the 28th October 2023.
