WORCESTER GLEANING GROUP
The Worcester Gleaning Group was set up in 2015 to help prevent produce from going to waste whilst supporting those in need.
Over the years, volunteers have gleaned tonnes of surplus fruit and vegetables, including various apple varieties, potatoes, plums and pumpkins, from local landowners.
The produce has then been distributed to various good causes such as homeless support charities and local hospices.
The group is currently gearing up for this year’s main gleaning season. If you’d like to get involved as a volunteer gleaner, a landowner with surplus produce to spare or a potential recipient organisation please do get in touch by emailing Gleaningworcester@gmail.com
