Helping cut your Heating Bills this Winter

Submitted by
Transition Energy Group are now equipped to offer some free support to anyone wanting to investigate their home for heat wastage.
1: Find the Draughts, and stop them. We can bring a fan that will help find the Draughts. Once we know where the Draughts are we can start to seal them up. We’ll even bring some draught strip with us.
2: See what is happening to the heat you pay for. We can bring instruments to automatically measure the temperature in rooms in your home and outside every few minutes for a study period of several days. If we also read the gas meter at the start and end of this study period you can find out:
A) How much does the temperature fall in your home when the heating turns off?
B) How long does your home take to warm up when the heating turns on?
C) How good is your insulation in each room?
D) How do your home temperatures and gas bills compare with other local
peoples’ homes?
E) Does the heating of different rooms really match your current needs? You can adjust Thermostatic Radiator Valve (TRV) settings and possibly save money and improve comfort.
We have some advice and samples of secondary glazing and internal wall insulation that we can bring and show you.
