Could you give a wormery a good home?

Gael Gusti, a current member of Transition Worcester, is moving to France next week, and would like to give his two wormeries away to a good home or two. Could you help?

One of these wormeries is home made and the other one from ‘Stoke worms’ ( but website not currently operational). Each has hundreds of red worms (Dendrobaena worms to be precise…)  and Gael would love these little guys to go to someone who cares about composting.

It could be used to boost an existing pile or ready to use as it is. There is also some very good soil ready to be use as well. These two wormeries are also protected by a small green house, bought from Wilkinson a little while ago + some small tools that are free to take away with the wormeries as well.

Please reply quickly, as Gael leaves the country next week! Contact Gael direct on

Hi all, thanks for your responses, however Gael has just let me know that the wormeries have now gone to a good home. Sorry to those who missed out! Don’t forget compost bins and wormeries are available for very reasonable prices through
    Many thanks, Ruth

We’ll miss you Gael! Have a safe journey to France! Good luck with your future endeavours.

Just to let everyone know on Matt’s behalf, he was one of the lucky ones to benefit from Gael’s kind offer of a wormery, and will be establishing it at Nunnery Wood Primary School (where he is a governor) next week! This will be a fantastic resource for the pupils to learn about a wormery and to help keep one alive and kicking! So thanks again to Gael, and to Matt for sorting this out.
