Apple Pressing Events 2018
The 2018 programme of apple pressing events has now finished. Keep an eye on the website and our Facebook page for details of the 2019 apple pressing programme.
Bring surplus apples or pears from your trees and get them pressed into juice with our Orchard Worker volunteers. Please remember to bring enough clean, sealable containers in which to take your juice away. As a guide, for every kilo of fruit you may get around 0.75 litres of juice, depending on the variety of apple/pear and how successful the growing season has been.
The events are also a good opportunity to find out about managing your trees for fruit and for wildlife. See the poster below for dates and venues. Donations towards our running costs greatly appreciated (suggested donation 30pence per litre pressed). All events run from approximately 11 am – 3pm.
Update Oct 6th: Apologies to our stalwart customers and volunteers that we were unable to access power/gazebo cover at the Lyppard Grange event to run the event as planned. We will endeavour to ensure that the remaining events run as planned. Please see the poster below for dates and venues and keep an eye on our Facebook page for the latest updates!
