Discussions from the Hive event

Submitted by on Thu 5 July, 2012 – 11:00 amNo Comment

During our ‘day at the Hive’, we had some great conversations with people from around Worcester, people who knew lots about Transition and people who were just getting started on the journey!

We’ve written up our notes from these discussions and they are well worth a read. We hope that these ideas will inspire us and give us plenty of ideas for new projects and initiatives that we could set up or be involved in. But we can’t do it without more people! If you like what you read, or were there on the day and contributed, then please get involved in one of our groups and help drive forward the exciting plans.

The summaries are available for each table theme (morning and afternoon sessions are combined), or as one complete document. The themes were chosen according to what we felt are important areas of work for Transition. For some, we already have lots of work going on (food, for example). Others, such as involving young people, waste and recycling, we haven’t even started on yet. But there is always time. As you can read about here, we have the first meeting of our new Energy Group on Tues July 17th – a great initial response to the Hive Event!

The summaries:

Economy Summary

Energy Summary

Engaging Young People Summary

Food Summary

Health Summary

Reskilling for the Future Summary

Transport Summary

Waste and Recycling Summary
